Jelena Toh's Ham & Eggs Sandwich Tales

I'd been working in LTK Melaka for 5 months, knowing the few clerks around me in the office, 'mandur-mandur' up in the farm which often come to the office, and a few Indon foreigners which I know them after we play badminton together for a few times. I treat everyone of them as my friend, a usual one. But not until lately, I get to know a new 'unusual' friend, Miss Chia from Eggstore ( a different department from mine ) . 

She is a nice lady, I would describe her as nice in terms of outer look and inner heart. Whenever she pass by our office room once in awhile, me and my colleagues will automatically turn our head to her and observe her. And she will always return us with a smile on her face. Though she wear the same uniform as us, which is only a company t-shirt, but her elegance shines truly. Her nature beauty at this age caught my attention, I enjoy seeing her. That was before I know her personally. We get closer each day, by talking to each other when we meet. In fact, Eggstore is quite a distance from my office, a 5 to 6 minutes walk. So it's quite hard for me to meet her unless I walk there purposely with work or purchasing reasons. She is humorous and funny. Usually my moodiness gone after talking to her, felt rejuvenated. Our colleagues in Eggstore like to tease us when seeing both of us chatting and giggling all the way. I think most of them are curios what is happening and why suddenly 2 strangers can be such close.

So it started off this way, one day when I went to her office, she suddenly pass me a tupperware of fruits salad in front of everyone, at that seconds moment I don't know how to react. Felt happy and thankful, but was blushing coz of the surrounding audiences. So from the day onwards, day by day we get closer, and we share more and more topics. I felt happy and gratitude that I got the chance to know a nice people like her which treats me even better before I leave this company, thanks God for still treating me this good.

She always share with me foods and things she brought along, and one day I decided to make sandwiches for her. Nothing much, just a simple feel and thought of  ' She treat me good, so am I wanna treat her back, as a token of appreciation '. We chinese always known this as 礼尚往来. I don't really cook myself or make food like sandwich usually, so having only fragments flash on sandwiches which I saw before in bakeries and movies, I consider as not bad for successfully creating my own sandwich without any help, but took quite long hours. LOL!
p/s : I actually did fumble in the kitchen hehe xD

整理。分享。心情

近来，生活太忙碌，步伐也很仓促。所谓自己的人生，自己主宰，时间，也得自己安排。有时候，我会突然感到很矛盾，活在那排得满满的 schedule 里，只希望能从寂寞出口逃脱。是很充实，但当生活，时间，节目，把我压得喘不过气时，我又会开始怀念有一种生活，就是什么都不做，一个人在某个角落享受着咖啡，无限制地上网，或者来个睡到自然醒的午觉。一切就那么简单，满足。

我，是一个比较随性，矛盾的人。感觉是什么都可以接受，但就是认真起来又要挑三挑四，嫌这嫌那的，极矛盾吧！向往自由，毫无拘束的人生！想做什么，就做，想吃什么，就去吃！我觉得人生是自己的，应该是全权由自己掌握着。为自己而活，毕竟‘人生有几个十年’。但哎，实际宇宙，又会有多少是顺心人事呢？无可否认我是过分向往，也是我梦寐以求的人生，有时想着想着。。不由自主地想到脑袋放空了。人生就是充满着无奈，也许是要我们学着式着去接受，珍惜所拥有的，学会满足，会比较快乐！

p/s : 不开心时，尝试去吃想吃的，毕竟这是能满足自己最简单的方法，至少我们都有能力做到的。

Senju Tei

Actually I don't fancy much about Japanese food, not that it's not nice, but just less interest. But this japanese restaurant, Senju Tei change my impression on japanese food. I was brought by my friend to this shop, tried a few dishes there, and I really must admit that it's really superb. I rarely eat beef and raw dish like salmons, but I would give it a try if people strongly recommend it. And so in Senju Tei, I gave both a try, both turns out to be my 'must-eat' dishes now. Oh my god, the salmon and white tuna sashimi is totally great, the stone grilled beef is also scrumptious! I'm in love with them now! 

Senju Tei is located at Melaka Raya, Melaka. Same row with Amigo Restaurant, and is also the opposite of Wisma Building which Malacca Club and Tropicana Grand Ball Room placed at. 

Below are the must try dishes if you were to visit Senju Tei. Of course, there are still nice food which you must try like the Garlic Fried Rice (蒜米炒饭），green tea ice cream and etc.

I'm sure you will be thinking is this a Christmas dinner or a Chinese New Year reunion dinner after seeing all these images. Well, seriously I had a more western style cuisines - turkey, pasta, salads. Every year we had the same old thing, why not we try something new this year? So this is it!!!

Family Gathering | X'mas Season | 2011

There's always a phrase saying : ' There's nothing comes more important than a family '.

This is what we always hear, from the media or even much more from our own immediate family members especially the older ones. They stress even more on family joy, love and touch brought by simple family reunion dinner and gathering rather than having big house, big car, and luxurious meal with no love one beside to share the happiness. Most of the time, especially kids like us, will just choose to listen from the either ear and just forget about it and much time we treat those as nagging.

I'm growing, day by day, years by years, from a child to a adolescent, and to a teenager today. Welcoming 2012, I'm 20. And now, I know I'm wrong. So wrong about what we firm think it's right all the while. Having the whole world doesn't assure the existence of happiness and contentment. Happiness and contentment, comes from our daily life, the life we everyday live, and in having a simpler and happening life. There's no point living with all the things we wanted so badly which we don't really need, spending seconds chasing after, and continue being ignorance about those family concept and ideas and at the end, destined to be left alone with nothing. No point living like this right? I'm learning , step by steps, understanding and accepting what life promise us. And so do you.

Having a simple dinner, with cold tea served and cold jokes, I bet you, it can be so simple to be happy. Here comes a short series of photos taken during the Christmas eve night dinner.

[ Eat . Durian . Shoot ] @ Sagil, Tangkak

Durian - The King of Fruit as described. Many of us are just totally in love with it, indulge in it's aroma and it's taste! But there are still a gang of them who totally can't stand the smell of it, which they described as 'pungent', the smell is unbearable to them! Durian, either you super duper love it, or you darn hate it.

I'm a durian lover, a durian fans! , a durian supporter, 100% durian! Durian is a heaven to me, the taste of heaven. I love my life more whenever I get to eat a 'biji' or a 'huut' (in Hokkien) of durian.

So let's start with the tempting DURIAN I enjoyed eating in a Tangkak farm during July.
